While some believe it's best to be laser-focused on one expertise, I've always felt that learning new artistic mediums has helped expand my creativity and improve my skills in other mediums
To design this ad, I first had to design the logo and packing in Adobe Illustrator
I then manipulated a 3D model in Adobe Dimension, placed my graphic, and exported it
Using Photoshop, I transformed the faces of me and a friend from our last vacation to avoid using any stock imagery.  I exported it back to Illustrator to create the boarders, place logos, and put the packaging into my new model's hand by creating a clipping mask.
Having experience in vector art, 3D design, and photo manipulation were all needed to create this ad.
To animate this video I began the same way, creating the logo and packaging design in Illustrator. I then took the logo and expanded it into a full scene
I also learned how to create depth-maps, which allowed me to create 3D Facebook posts
I recorded myself playing guitar for the animation's audio
Finally, I was able to start animating all of this and syncing it up to the audio.
The label to John's Next Generation White Ale was designed for print; I had to maintain specific dimensions and ensure the design was created using only vector elements, but I still used my experience with non-vector tools to achieve this.
An image completely generated using AI legally has no authorship, to give it authorship one must alter the image in a way that fundamentally changes it.
After prompting AI to generate this image of a spaceship, I imported it to another application and converted it into a 3D model.  From here I was able to add a new light source.  Drawing inspiration from movie posters, I added a red light to a contrasting blue scene to create dynamic lighting.  I then cropped it down to size and vectorized it.
Using Photoshop I was able to extract the silhouettes of the owner and his son from this image, and using Illustrator I was able to create figures using these silhouettes that merged with the design.
Once the design was complete, I was able to quickly swap out the background layer to create additional versions for future use
I'm a Graphic and Print Designer but I love exploring other mediums; from drawing, painting, and sculpting, to photo editing, 3D modeling and animation, because these skill all expand my creative abilities.
